Job Summary
We are seeking a Controller to assist with all financial activities of our agricultural company.
Position will include supervision of all accounting and human resource functions, month-end and year-end financial closing activities, account reconciliation, budgeting, forecasting, financial statement preparation, review, and analysis, etc.
Certified Public Accountant preferred.
Reliability and flexibility are important, as this position will be very involved in various operational aspects of the business.
Ag experience is a plus.
Controller Duties and Responsibilities
* Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
* Cash management
* Reconcile accounts
* Prepare journal entries for the general ledger
* Prepare financial statements for reporting purposes
* Assist with forecasting and budgeting
* Compile financial reports/summaries, etc.
on company activities
* Help implement internal control measures to ensure regulatory compliance
* Provide assistance and support to company personnel
* Research and track accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
Controller Requirements and Qualifications
* Proven experience in financial accounting, reporting and budgeting and analysis
* Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
* Experience in general ledger accounting
* Strong supervisory and decision-making skills
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Familiarity with US GAAP
* Analytical and organizational skills
* Attention to detail and accuracy are key
* Numerical aptitude
* Supervisory experience
* Proficient in MS Office
* Ag-related experience (preferred)
* Netsuite and Quickbooks knowledge (preferred)
* CPA designation (preferred)
* Salary commensurate with experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.
00 - $90,000.
