Job Summary:
The Cashier/Accounts Payable position at Chris Auffenberg Chrysler of Herrin is an integral part of the accounting and finance department.
This position is responsible for processing payments, managing accounts payable, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial transactions.
This is a full-time, hourly position in the auto industry, located in Herrin, Illinois.
The Cashier/Accounts Payable role is an individual contributor position.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $15.
50 per hour, paid weekly.

Responsibilities:
- Process cash, check, and credit card transactions for vehicle sales, service repairs, and parts sales
- Reconcile cash registers and prepare daily cash deposit
- Maintain accurate records of all cash receipts and payments
- Review and process accounts payable invoices in a timely manner
- Prepare and process payments to vendors
- Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to payments
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper recording and payment of invoices
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding financial transactions
- Provide exceptional customer service to all clients, both internal and external
- Other duties as assigned by the accounting manager or supervisor
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, with some college coursework in accounting or finance preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in cash handling or accounts payable
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Familiarity with the auto industry is a plus
