Accounts Payable Clerk

A local healthcare facility is looking to hire an AP (Accounts Payable) Clerk.
$15.
14/hr minimum - $22.
71/hr maximum (range increases based on education, experience and certifications) Responsible for accounts payable activities in a multi-company environment.
Responsibilities: Safety: Manages processes effectively in regard to employee/patient safety.
Record Keeping: Maintains all required records, reports, statistics, logs, files and other documents as required.
Process Improvement: Promotes a culture of process improvement by establishing unit/department based programs that supports the system’s process improvement goals.
Actively participates on system-wide or hospital-based teams.
Role Specific Responsibilities: Maintains accurate, easy to follow, electronic procedures for each responsibility.
Responds to inquiries from employees and vendors regarding accounts payable and related matters.
Processes properly approved and documented invoices and payment requests.
Reconciles vendors statements, researches and corrects discrepancies.
Processes payments to vendors, while enhancing cash flow.
Sorts and distributes department mail appropriately.
Reviews employee P-card statements and receipts timely, follow up on policy violations appropriately.
Processes AR system patient refund requests, mailing timely with appropriate documentation.
Qualifications: Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting or related business field preferred Licenses and Certification: N/A Experience and Skills: Technical Experience: 2 years required Physical Activities: Intermittent hand manipulation required Intermittent lifting and carrying of 20 lbs.
