Posting Identification Number 36896 Position Overview The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire a Director of Adult Residential Mental Health Services for the Choate Mental Health and Developmental Center located in Anna, Illinois.
Directs the formulation, implementation, and evaluation of treatment programs.
Directs the activities of other treatment staff.
Directs the overall therapeutic milieu within the residential treatment setting to ensure the basic health and safety of individuals is protected.
Makes rounds to ensure cleanliness.

Job Responsibilities Serves as the Director of Adult Residential Mental Health Services.
Serves as full line supervisor; assigns and reviews work.
Directs the overall therapeutic milieu within the residential treatment setting to ensure the basic health and safety of individuals is protected.
Plans and directs the formulation and implementation of program goals to ensure programming occurs per schedule, therapeutic treatment approaches and individual training activities.
Develops and implements plans of correction based upon internal compliance reviews and surveys by accreditation and/or certification agencies.
Serves on Hospital, Clinical and Administrative committees and assigns work groups as appointed by the Hospital Administrator.
Assigns and verifies staff attendance for mandatory in-service/training programs.
Makes rounds on unit, interacting with staff and individuals served, providing groups for individuals.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of those duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications Requires licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to the completion of four (4) years of college with coursework in nursing.
Requires prior experience equivalent to three (3) years of progressively responsible professional nursing experience in a public or business organization.
Preferred Qualifications Three (3) years of professional nursing experience working with individuals with mental illness, intellectual disabilities and/or developmental disabilities.
Three (3) years of professional experience supervising professional nursing staff.
Three (3) years of professional experience directing the formulation, implementation and evaluation of treatment programs for a public or private organization.
Three (3) years of professional experience recommending and implementing nursing policies and procedures relative to latest trends and nursing standards.
One (1) year of professional experience training nursing staff on nursing care practices and techniques.
One (1) year of professional experience performing quality assurance assessments on nursing services and treatments provided to individuals and/or patients.
One (1) year of professional experience verifying timely and quality completion of weekly and monthly treatment reviews to ensure individuals are engaged in treatment programs designed to restore everyone to his/her maximum potential.
Conditions of Employment Requires ability to pass the IDHS background check.
Requires ability to pass a drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law.
Requires the ability to serve as Administrator on Duty (AOD) after business hours, weekends and holidays.
Requires the ability to utilize office equipment, including personal computers.
