Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse
Job Summary:
The Emergency Room Nurse provides critical care to patients in emergency situations, ensuring timely and accurate assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
They work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to stabilize patients, provide immediate care, and facilitate transfers to appropriate departments.
They are responsible for ensuring efficient patient flow, conducting patient education, and documenting accurate medical records.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1.
Conduct initial patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and triaging patients based on acuity levels.
2.
Administer medication, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
3.
Perform emergent procedures, such as wound care, splinting, and resuscitation if required.
4.
Monitor patients’ conditions and respond promptly to changes in status or emergency situations.
5.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create and implement care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
6.
Communicate with patients and their families, providing emotional support and education about their conditions and treatments.
7.
Ensure accurate documentation of patient medical history, assessments, and interventions.
8.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
9.
Participate in ongoing education and training programs to update and enhance clinical skills.
10.
Assist with various administrative tasks, such as facilitating patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
11.
Stay updated with emergency protocols, disaster response plans, and safety procedures.
12.
Adhere to legal, ethical, and professional nursing standards and guidelines.
13.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient care outcomes and hospital policies.
14.
Adhere to HIPAA regulations, protecting patient confidentiality at all times.
15.
Provide assistance and support during emergencies or disasters as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
1.
Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
2.
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
3.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
4.
Minimum of [X] years of experience in an emergency room or critical care setting.
5.
Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient safety and quality care.
15.
Valid authorization to work in the United States.
