The Assistant Teacher will be responsible for assisting the teacher the general supervision and learning of the children.
Must have a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the needs and feelings of others, be able to relate well to children, their families, and other staff members, and be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with YBR's education philosophy.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate respect for other staff, supervisors, children, and families at all times.
Assist in the implementation of learning activities/program under the direction of the lead teacher.
Supervision and guidance of children in assigned group.
Adhere to state and program guidelines and maintain a professional attitude.
Willingness to become familiar with state licensing regulations, NAEYC Accreditation, and ExceleRate Illinois criteria.
Report to work at scheduled time.
Maintain confidentiality at all times and respect the privacy of the children, families, other staff, and the program.
Participate in housekeeping and care tasks including cleaning, organizing, diapering, and toileting.
Attend required meetings, family events, and trainings.
Maintain current certification in First Aid and CPR.
Must pass a criminal background check and FBI check per DCFS
