Duties:
- Prepare and cook food for banquets and events according to recipes and quality standards
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Collaborate with the banquet team to plan and execute menu items for events
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate with the kitchen manager to ensure adequate supplies
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment
- Assist in the development of new menu items and special event menus
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant or banquet setting preferred
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and presentation
- Understanding of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Skills:
- Culinary expertise in preparing a variety of dishes
- Proficient in food preparation techniques, including knife skills
