The Learning & Development Manager is responsible for designing and overseeing learning and development programs under the guidance of the Senior Personnel & Development Officer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES Under the direction of the SPDO, lead and execute the design, development, and delivery of training programs that empower employees to reach their full potential.
Champion a culture of continuous learning and growth, fostering an environment where education and innovation thrive.
Collaborate across departments to ensure that training initiatives reflect the company’s mission, vision, and goals.
Introduce training methodologies that keep pace with the ever-evolving financial services landscape, utilizing continuous gap analyses to ensure training programs are relevant and effective.
Design development program(s) to identify future leaders and develop individual growth plans.
Evaluate the impact of training programs through comprehensive assessments, leveraging data-driven insights to refine and enhance future initiatives.
Stay ahead of industry trends, proactively identifying emerging learning technologies and methodologies to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of employee development.
Provide leadership, support, and training throughout the organization as necessary.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers at all levels of the organization.
Assume responsibility for special projects, gather data, and prepare reports for Executive Management, the Board of Directors, auditors, and other personnel as requested.
Set performance goals for the Learning & Development team, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide consistent, constructive feedback.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Learning, Innovation, & Development, a related field, or a commensurate combination of education and experience required.
Successful history of progressive growth and expanding responsibilities in a Learning & Development capacity required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Leadership skills with the ability to motivate individuals at all levels of the organization.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with internal and external customers at all levels.
Strong creative thinking skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
In-depth knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and various learning management (LMS) systems and e-learning platforms.
Demonstrable ability to design, develop, and deliver effective training programs.
A positive and proactive approach to work, demonstrating enthusiasm, adaptability, and the ability to maintain composure and professionalism in stressful or adverse conditions.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and clearly, effectively communicate complex learning and development strategies.
Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to analyze potential project outcomes, making informed and accurate predictions.
Adaptability and the skill to redirect attention as needed to meet targets and deadlines.
Proficient computer literacy, including comfort with Microsoft systems and Office Suite.
Intermediate typing skills to meet the needs of this position.
Current driver’s license and reliable transportation with appropriate insurance coverage; additionally, the ability to drive occasionally in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
The ability to work with minimal or no supervision.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Master’s degree in Organizational Learning, innovation, & Development, or a related field strongly preferred.
Project management certification strongly preferred.
