*Posting Identification Number: 10-74-35537* *Short Description* The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire a Center Director for the Murray Developmental Center located in Centralia, Illinois.
Manages the administrative, clinical, and programmatic areas at the center.
Formulates and institutes administrative policies to guide the overall direction of the total center operation i.
e.
, administrative, clinical, non-clinical, training, etc.
Directs, reviews, and enforces standards of care and treatment for persons receiving services at the center in accord with DHS/DDD (Department of Human Services/Division of Developmental Disabilities) policies and procedures, standards of practice.
*Job Responsibilities * * Serves as Center Director for Murray Developmental Center.
* Directs the preparation of periodic and special studies to evaluate existing policies and procedures within the Center.
* Works cooperatively with the Southern Developmental Disabilities Network Facilitator.
* Serves as full-line supervisor.
* Coordinates the admission, discharge, and transfer (including post discharge follow up services) of persons served.
* Encourages community participation in Center programs to verify public understanding of developmental disabilities programs and coordinates with professional organizations to raise standards of professional skills in treatment, prevention, training, and research by speaking before various groups to solicit understanding, appreciation, and assistance for all mental health programs.
* Performs other duties as assigned or required, which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
*Minimum Qualifications* * Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college with course work in a social or human services field.
* Requires four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a social or human services organization, preferably with a Mental Health or Developmental Disabilities Organization.
*Conditions of Employment* * Requires the ability to work on-call, after business hours, weekends, and holidays.
* Requires the ability to utilize office equipment, including personal computers.
* Requires the ability travel in the performance of job duties, with overnight stays as appropriate.
