Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Used Car Manager to join our team.
As the Used Car Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our used car inventory, including purchasing, pricing, and sales.
This is a key leadership role that requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a strong understanding of the automotive market.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the used car inventory, including sourcing, purchasing, and pricing vehicles
- Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to promote used car sales
- Monitor market trends and adjust pricing strategies accordingly
- Negotiate with customers to secure profitable sales deals
- Train and mentor sales staff on effective selling techniques for used cars
- Ensure all vehicles are properly inspected, reconditioned, and ready for sale
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, sales, and customer interactions
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role as a Used Car Manager or Automotive Sales Manager
- Strong knowledge of the automotive market and current trends
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively negotiate with customers to secure profitable deals
- Proficient in using software applications related to inventory management and sales tracking
- Outstanding organizational skills with attention to detail
- Retail sales experience is preferred
- Familiarity with outbound sales techniques is a plus
- Basic math skills for pricing calculations
- Ability to deliver public speaking engagements on behalf of the dealership
